2019 Event Details

Join Mayor Allan Thompson and our Members of Council for the 16th annual Caledon Council Community Golf Tournament. Through your support, over $1 million has been raised and put back into the Caledon community.

This year, we are excited to announce that the primary recipient of funds from the tournament will be the Great War Flying Museum.

We look forward to hosting you at the beautiful TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley on Wednesday, September 4.

Whether you want to help bring an exciting on-course competition to life on the golf course (ie. closest to the pin, longest drive, etc.), receive brand exposure through a key brand sponsorship (ie. scorecard, golf ball, golf cart, etc.), or just come out and enjoy the golf course as a foursome, we have you covered.

Your sponsorship/registration fee will go back into the community.  Proceeds from the tournament go toward key community partners, be it through our primary and secondary grants or through the new Beffort Legacy Scholarship.

2019 CCCGT Charity: The Great War Flying Museum

The Great War Flying Museum (GWFM) is an all-volunteer organization with 60 members. It has been active at the

Brampton-Caledon Airport for almost 50 years. The GWFM is dedicated to inspiring a love of early aviation and respect for the men and women who participated in the world’s first air war. They maintain two buildings, an aircraft hangar and an artefact museum. The hangar is used to build and maintain a fleet of flying World War One reproduction aircraft. Annually the GWFM gives air displays, tours, education and fun to over 4,000 visitors at our home base and from 40,000 to 50,000 viewers at off-site air shows and commemorations.

Through the assistance of the 2019 CCCGT, the Great War Flying Museum will undertake a much needed extension of the hangar, enabling year round construction and maintenance of artefacts, creation of public amenities such as a gift shop and an accessible washroom, create the ability to accommodate larger bus-sized groups and enhance current artefact and archival care.

 Caledon Council’s charity golf tournament helps local families in need

houseThe lion’s share of proceeds from Caledon Council’s annual charitable golf tournament will this year go towards the renovation of a heritage property for use as supportive housing by local families with adult children who have intellectual or development disabilities.

The project will be led by Raising the Roof, a national charitable organization focusing on youth homelessness, and will focus on renovating 1 Cedar Mains Drive, a heritage property near Highway 50 and Old Church Road known locally as “the Church House.”

Once renovated the property – which is on land owned by Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) -- will be turned over to Caledon Area Families for Inclusion (CAFFI), a local parent organization that helps support families and their family members with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

The 2018 tournament will take place Wednesday, September 5 at its long-time venue, Osprey Valley Golf Course.

2017 Caledon Council Community Golf Tournament contributes $91,300 to Bolton Camp 

On September 6, 2017 hundreds of golfers descended on Osprey Valley Golf Course for the 14th  edition of the Caledon Council Community Golf Tournament. Under the leadership of Caledon Council - and with the support of a full slate of sponsors - the 2017 Tournament raised well over $100,000, passing a milestone of one million dollars given back to the community over the life of the Tournament. 

As a result of this generous support, on December 6, 2017 Caledon Council presented a cheque for $91,300 to TRCA's Reimagining of Bolton Camp. This project is the primary beneficiary of the CCCGT proceeds for 2017.  (Other "secondary" recipients - to be named later - will be awarded the remaining proceeds from the 2017 Tournament.) 

The Council contribution will help to fulfill one of the most vital elements of Bolton Camp - the renovation of "The Hub," a 4,000 square foot building built in 1975 that can accommodate more than 300 users.  It will become a central gathering space for the community and will ensure that TRCA can continue to meet the needs of our rapidly growing community.

"On behalf of my Council colleagues I'm so proud of this investment in the Reimagining of Bolton Camp," said Councillor Jennifer Innis, who served as this year's Chair of the Tournament. "The Hub is a key component of the project and will help transform the site into a community cultural hub to meet the growing needs of our community and help bring our region together."
