Level of Schooling


According to the 2001 Census, 17% of Caledon’s population 20 years and over had a university degree. A further 20% had a college certificate or diploma.

Employment Earnings

According to the 2001 Census, a total of 31,290 people in Caledon reported receiving employment income in 2000, up 33% from 1996. Their average employment income was $44,831, an increase of 28% from 1996. In 2001, the average of employment income for Ontario and Region of Peel was $35,185 and $36,635 respectively.

The Census counted 11,420 men working full-time with average earnings of $66,329 compared with $46,698 earned by 7,480 women working on a full-time basis.
