population data by Immigration and Citizenship in Caledon as published by
Statistics Canada on January 21, 2003.
Immigration
In 2001, 80% (up from 78.5% in 1996) of
Caledon’s population were Canadian-born, and about 19.5% (down from 21% in
1996) were Foreign-born (immigrant population).

Of the total immigrant population,
pre-school children (0-4 years of age) accounted for 12.5% (1,240), those aged
5-19 years of age accounted for 36.6% (3,620) and the working population (20
years and over) accounted for 50.7% (5,015).
Citizenship
Of the 50,595 people counted in Caledon in
2001, about 96% reported as a Canadian
Citizen and 4% reported as Citizenship
other than Canadian.
