Caledon Fire & Emergency Services will work with several Caledon agencies to deliver more than 200 combination smoke and carbon monoxide alarms to Caledon homes through Project Zero.

Jul.27 FIREWORKS REMINDER
With Victoria Day and Canada Day celebrations behind us, many homeowners enjoyed fireworks displays on their own property. However, as we approach another summer long weekend, Caledon Fire & Emergency Services would like to remind residents that, in this municipality, Victoria Day and Canada Day are the only permitted days for discharging fireworks on private property.

Jun.25 MOLLY JAKEMAN IS CALEDON’S SENIOR OF THE YEAR
Molly Jakeman, Caledon’s 2010 Senior of the Year, has been a busy volunteer for more than 30 years – and certainly shows no signs of slowing down. Chair of the Town of Caledon Seniors’ Advisory Committee, Mrs. Jakeman’s volunteer work has made a significant difference in her community. Her contributions have assisted Caledon’s young and young-at-heart, and include helping to establish essential community agencies like Caledon Meals on Wheels and the Davis Centre long-term care facility.
Jun.15 A SWEET CELEBRATION LAUNCHES CALEDON FARMERS’ MARKET
Building on the success of last year’s inaugural Market, the Caledon Farmers’ Market launches its second season on Thursday, June 17, 2010, with celebrations that include free strawberry shortcake – served by local dignitaries – cooking demonstrations using fresh, local strawberries, live music, face painting and children’s crafts.

CALEDON, Ontario — The Town of Caledon held an official ceremony today to celebrate the grand opening of the newly expanded Caledon Community Complex. David Tilson, MP for Dufferin-Caledon, and Marolyn Morrison, Mayor of the Town of Caledon, are pleased to see this important project reach completion.
May.11 FURTHER ENHANCEMENTS TO BOLTON BUSINESS CORE WITH SECOND GRANT
A second application for funding for a community improvement project in Bolton has been approved under the Bolton Community Improvement Plan (CIP). Family Footcare, located at 63 King Street West, will receive $2,426.96 towards their landscape project. Under the landscape improvement grant, an applicant can apply for 50% of a project cost, to a maximum of $5,000.
May.11 GAME ON! CCC OPENING
In only six months, the Town of Caledon successfully completed the $7 million expansion of the Caledon Community Complex (CCC) – Phase Two Ice Pad addition. And the community is invited to help open the doors of Caledon’s first “twin pad” ice facility, made possible thanks to a $7 million dollar investment by the Federal Government’s Community Adjustment Fund (CAF), part of Canada’s “Economic Action Plan”.
