Caledon Public Library Board

The Public Libraries Act, R.S.O. 1990 provides that Council shall appoint a Library Board to oversee the operation of the Town of Caledon Public Libraries ensuring appropriate and efficient library service.  The Board consists of nine members, including two councilors, appointed for a four year term which coincides with the term of council.  The Board meets at least ten times per year, with no regular meetings scheduled for July and August.  Meeting dates and times are established at the first Board meeting.  The Act specifies that qualified persons must be at least eighteen years old, a Canadian citizen and a resident of the Town of Caledon and not employed by the municipality.
