Doug Barnes has an extensive public service career in the Town of Caledon and in four provincial ministries:   Municipal Affairs and Housing, Public Infrastructure Renewal, Environment and Finance.
Doug’s current role as Chief Administrative Officer of the Town of Caledon started in November 2007.  As CAO he is responsible for the administration of all Town departments and providing direct support to the Mayor and Council.

Before taking on the role of building a new Housing Division, Doug led the government’s evaluation and policy response to the Walkerton Inquiry, a file that involved leading major consultations and policy development on source water protection.
