Applications have been received by the Town of Caledon Development Approval and Planning Policy Department to amend the Town’s Official Plan and Zoning By-law.

Description of Property

The subject lands are located at the northwest quadrant of Coleraine Drive and Healey Road in the Town of Caledon and comprise approximately 73.1 ha (180.7 ac).

The lands are predominantly vacant, with the exception of the Shore-Wakely Stone House at 13304 Coleraine Drive and residential dwellings at 13218, 13226, 13240, 13262, 13074 Coleraine Drive.

Surrounding land uses are industrial, agricultural and residential.

Purpose and Effect of Revised Applications

The purpose of the proposed Official Plan Amendment is re-designate the subject lands from “Prime Agricultural Area” to “General Industrial” in order to permit a warehouse distribution facility and associated uses.

The purpose of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to rezone the subject lands from Agricultural One (A1) and Environmental Protection Area Two (EPA2) to Serviced Industrial – Exception XXX (MS-XXX) and Serviced Industrial –Exception-XXX (MS-XXX).
